We had a fun group family day at Disneyland with the Nelsons and the Reeves today. It was John's regular day off and Josh and Sean were able to work part days. So we bravely ventured out right before our regular naptime for a napless day at the magic kingdom. Fortunately the weather had cooled off considerably compared to the past couple of days so despite the crowds it was an enjoyable time. We hit Dumbo, the carasoul, and the teacups...snack time...Tiki room...dinner time...then finished off with Winnie the Pooh. As 7:30 pm rolled around we decided to head out- we were at the car by 8:45 pm. Yes, it took over an hour to get out of the park, through Downtown Disney (okay, we stopped for kettle corn), and to the parking structure. We did the p.j.'s in the car and both kids were sound asleep by the time we hit the freeway. It was a very nice few hours and extra special with all the Daddies there. =)

disneyland is SO much easier with 2 parents. even if you do meet friends.
