Our baby girl turned 6-years-old on Friday!! The last time May 13th was "Friday the 13th" we welcomed our first born, Kate Ryleigh Jacobs. I cannot believe how time can fly! We are so proud of the young lady Kate is becoming and, though we are going through a bit of an arguing stage right now, she is usually quite a delight. This girl is SO expressive and loves being goofy and making us laugh. She adores her family and is always letting us know how much she loves all of us! And we love her! We didn't do a big party this year but I wanted to make sure her day was special so...
Per her request, green eggs for breakfast...
Presents in the morning before school...
Kate loved the mermaid movie that Luke gave her...
And the mermaid fins for pool play...
But the most exciting part of the morning was when Kate climbed into the car to go to school and was surprised to see that she finally had a booster seat!! We have great video of her reaction. Absolutely priceless! She has wanted a booster seat for SO long but I told her that she needed to be 40 lbs. It's taken a long time but she got there! =)
Such a proud girl...
At 11:30, Kate's teacher let us come to her class for a little birthday celebration. Luke brought her flowers & balloons...
Mommy made cake pops & brought Almond milk ice cream...
After school, Kate got to pick her lunch spot. Of course, she chose to go to Hof's Hut...
That evening we had a family dinner of spaghetti, salad, bread, and cake.
Kate opened gifts and even read some of her cards by herself. She loved everything she got...a new dress, sheets for her bed, a bathing suit, a purse full of lipglosses, a new jewelry box, and a little cash.
Clearly she was excited with her new collection of My Fair Lady Barbies from Nana & Grampa (although I think the women in the room may have been a bit more excited;))...
Can you believe these dolls?! Love them!
Happy birthday, sweet girl!! We love you SO MUCH!! ♥♥♥
